COURSES at Appalachian Mountain Guides are designed to teach a progression of climbing skills. Everyone learns at a different rate so each day is tailored to meet your individual needs. Our main goal is to provide you with the experience and information that you are seeking. The following are generic course categories into which you may place yourself.

First Days Out We offer expert instruction on belaying and movement skills, the building blocks for all of climbing. Knowing that the information you receive is correct and up-to-date builds your confidence from day one. One day of instruction is a good introduction to climbing; two days is optimal for information processing and retention. Venta humidifier cleaning.
Moving On Every time you climb, volumes are added to your information and movement - skills libraries. Climbing more routes with individualized instruction along the way expands your libraries in a rapid progression.
Small Party Self-Rescue Regardless of where you climb, the ability to quickly assist an injured partner may save a life. Instruction covers belay escape, raising and lowering systems and assisted rappelling. Take responsibility for yourself!
Leading Instruction Are you ready to lead? Professional instruction can take years off your learning curve! We can assess your skill level and fill in any information gaps before you increase your risk by leading. If you already lead we can increase your confidence by helping you understand how to control the many variables involved in leading. купить двери
Aid Climbing We can give you the tools to get you on a wall sooner and/or up a route with more confidence.
AMGA Top-Rope Instructor's Course A five-day curriculum, with one rest day, designed and taught by AMGA certified guides for all climbing instructors. Accurate, up-to-date information. Education from a respected national association that is recognized worldwide as the representative of America's guides. Course size is limited to six participants.

Course dates: April 7-12, 2002;
April 28-May 3, 2002; Nov. 3-8, 2002

(Private top-rope courses can be arranged for a program or group at any time.)


     To give you the most value for your money, clients are not matched with other clients. All bookings are private courses. Group size is limited to three people. This creates the right environment for maximum learning efficiency and eliminates the problems associated with differences in personality and ability.
